Job Description: Plant Health Care Technician  - Or if experienced a Plant Health Care Manager.

Hendrickson Tree Care is looking to add to its team and has an immediate opening for a Plant Health Care Technician.


Main duties are to monitor, evaluate, and provide plant health care needs for residential and commercial properties. PHC Tech performs fertilization and integrated pest management on trees and shrubs using spray and injection tools. Customer service is a key element of the position, as well as routing, product mixing and application. Qualified candidates will have an aptitude for tree and pest identification, pest and disease management operations including mix ratios, application rates, and associated tools and equipment specific to plant health care. Tree and shrub ID, pathology, and knowledge of turf or tree physiology are valuable but not required, we will train.

Qualifications:

Two or Four-year degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, or related discipline a plus, but not required

Ability to identify local tree species and knowledge of growth rates

ISA Certified Arborist a plus, as is related experience

Excellent communication skills

Specific task training provided

Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority

Valid driver’s license, certified state applicators license a plus though not necessary at the present time.
