Threat Assessment Analyst

This is an entry-level Analyst position in our Threat Assessment division. This position is based in San Antonio, TX and will be a mixture of in-person work and remote work. Suitable candidates should be able to commute to North San Antonio, TX at least three times per week. Base compensation for this role ranges from $55k-$62k annually (commensurate with experience).
Candidates seeking careers in cybersecurity, penetration testing, network security, SOC operations, incident response, digital forensics, or cyber threat intelligence are unlikely to find this position aligned with their career interests.

Desired Qualifications
- You’ve worked in an office, and you're comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
- You've been exposed to general legal principles and procedures; maybe you’re thinking about law school or have worked in a law firm or an investigative firm.
- You're familiar with Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and computerized legal research.
- You have an interest in sociology, psychology, investigations, journalistic research, and/or risk assessment.
- You’re organized – you love to create systems to maintain order and increase efficacies.
- You’re good at working with other people – helping them on various projects and creating a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities & Expectations
You’ll be joining an ambitious team whose mission is to assess, investigate, and manage cases involving safety and privacy. You’ll review and assess written and verbal inappropriate communications to determine risk factors and areas requiring further research and assessment. Successful candidates who have previously pursued this position have typically demonstrated an interest in law, psychology, and criminal justice.
Research
- Evaluate court records, public documents, open sources, database records and other investigative sources.
- Conduct OSINT, as needed, to acquire more information on relevant person(s) and/or events.
Analysis & Assessment
- Review, identify, and analyze trends and inconsistencies in reporting and research findings.
- Draw actionable and impactful conclusions to mitigate risk and acquire hard-to-find information.
- Clearly express methodology and recommendations to management and peers in writing and presentations.

Security Specialist

GDBA’s Mission: The Safety, Privacy, and Wellbeing of our Clients
A newly hired Protector in Tulsa will earn no less than $65,000 in base earnings during their first year with GDBA. Tulsa-based Protectors could earn up to $77,000 in first year earnings when accounting for prior relevant experience, GDBA Training Academy performance, and promotion opportunities.
Your Role as a Protector:
- Monitor property while utilizing the tools and technology of a GDBA Command Center
- Screen visitors and vendors; control all access to protected site
- Coordinate and execute security plans and respond to medical emergencies
- Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' homes and when they travel
- Provide secure transportation as needed
- Survey and prepare (advance) locations prior to arrival of client
- Prepare detailed documentation of suspicious activity
- Create and maintain readiness to meet any threat
Who You Are:
Military, law enforcement, or experience in executive protection/security is meaningful, though not a requirement to become a GDBA Protector. We’re less interested in what you are than who you are. Our most successful Protectors come from a variety of backgrounds and have succeeded because they communicate effectively, are physically fit, willing to learn, tell the truth, and enjoy working in a team environment. Our promotion system is merit-based. Performance matters most, not seniority.
Hiring Process Requirements:
- 12-Day Introductory Training Academy in San Antonio, TX
- Be able to pass physical readiness test (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run)
- Must be able to swim
- Must be drug and nicotine free
- Background check required
- Must be able to obtain appropriate state firearm and security licensing
