We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, tax professional to join our firm.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor members of tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
  • Perform final review of individual and business tax returns of varying complexity
  • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
  • Manage and facilitate income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
  • Conduct tax research when necessary
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients

Skills & Requirements:

  • CPA License Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent field required
  • 7+ years of tax compliance experience in public accounting preferred
  • Experienced in all levels of tax return preparation and accounting
  • Experience serving small to medium sized businesses
  • Experience supervising, managing teams, and mentoring staff
  • Outstanding collaboration, communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to handle multiple projects
  • Capacity to respond positively to change and unanticipated tasks or events
  • Experience in UltraTax, TaxCaddy, and/or Salesforce helpful

Job Type: Full-Time (Phoenix, AZ preferred with hybrid schedule, out-of-state remote working will be considered for the right candidate)

Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000/year plus tax season bonus
