Lighthouse Veterinary Care for Cats is a growing, thriving Feline exclusive veterinary

practice located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Since opening our doors in August of 2021,

our goal has been to be a supportive, customer focused practice. Our devotion is to

provide exceptional care to our feline patients while going above and beyond to

address the needs of our clients in a calm, relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere.

We have an open position available for one very exceptional Office Manager. At least

5+ years of advanced experience within the clinical veterinary medical environment is

preferred. Prior extensive experience in a leadership/team managing capacity and/or

as a lead veterinary customer service representative is desired. A candidate with at a

minimum an associate's degree is preferred.

As the office manager you may be responsible for:

• Interacting with clients, vendors, & others on the phone and in person

• Overseeing marketing of the practice

• Implementing community outreach programs

• Managing inventory and supplies

• Overseeing the employee schedule

• Ensuring updates and compliance to the employee handbook

• Supervising team members, including assessing skill levels & implementing a

growth plan alongside the ownership team

• Overseeing maintenance of equipment and general facility maintenance

including the cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of the practice

• Assisting with maintaining a smooth daily work flow by being able to effectively

navigate and address challenges that may arise within a day

Interested future Office Managers should have the following Qualifications:

• Have the ability to multi-task effectively

• Demonstrate strong computer skills and is comfortable with technology

• Able to easily navigate through computer programs such as Excel & Microsoft

Word

• Able to handle cats gently and safely if needed to assist with patient care

• Reliable, punctual, innovative, and dedicated to veterinary medicine and to the

growth of your new team and practice

Hours: 36-40 hours per week. Due to the unpredictable nature of veterinary medicine,

additional hours will be required on occasion.

Days worked: Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as needed.

preparing to become a Certified Cat Friendly Practice followed by Fear-Free

certification. The Virginia Beach area offers many emergency care facilities and
