Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial mechanical construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Develop pricing for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and preconstruction teams
- Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Assist with negotiated, hard-bid, and design-build project pursuits
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
- Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation
- Utilize estimating software and tools to develop competitive proposals
- Support project handoff processes and ongoing estimating best practices

The Successful Applicant
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, engineering, construction, or project management within related industries
- Experience working alongside Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) professionals
- Strong understanding of commercial construction principles and practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Technical knowledge of commercial building systems
- Experience estimating HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical construction projects
- Familiarity with negotiated, hard-bid, and design-build delivery methods
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Procore and On-Screen Takeoff preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
