About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Preschool Teacher who loves helping young children become confident, curious, and independent learners?
The Learning Experience - Manassas City is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to create engaging learning experiences that build early academic skills, friendships, creativity, and kindergarten readiness.
We're looking for a passionate educator who enjoys leading a classroom, supporting children's development, and building meaningful relationships with families.
As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you'll take ownership of your classroom while helping children develop the skills and confidence they need for their next stage of learning.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily preschool classroom routines and learning activities
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging experiences supporting literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
- Support kindergarten readiness through hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning
- Use positive behavior guidance and maintain consistent classroom routines
- Observe and document children's developmental progress
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom
- Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous professional preschool or early childhood classroom experience required
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred, but not required
- Previous Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of preschool development and kindergarten readiness
- Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Strong classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills
- Creative, patient, dependable, and organized
- Must meet applicable Virginia Lead Teacher qualifications, background screening, and regulatory requirements
