In this role, you will be responsible for using their expertise to elicit the intent, scope, and outcome of designated human research studies into digital records in order to curate the resulting data for both NASA - and the research community at large - via LSDA’s public website (https://nlsp.nasa.gov/hrp/nlsp). Some human data may be privacy-protected and therefore require understanding of privacy laws to facilitate additional access controls. - Develop research data submission agreements (RDSAs) with Principal Investigators, populating the LSDA databases with information and metadata captured in the RDSA
- Summarize the aims, methods and expected outcomes of research studies for the LSDA’s public website
- Organize and curate the data submitted by the investigator teams, with the relevant metadata generated from each study in a format that enables future reuse (i.e. FAIR principles)
- Input and update research study data into various databases and perform data updates and audits
- Extract data using manual and electronic processes for release to approved investigators
- Support development of presentations for poster sessions, publications, and NASA reports
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical, research and personally identifiable information (PII) to which access has been granted
- Provide weekly status reports of work activities to project leads
- Participation in software requirements definition and user interface/database testing
