Job Description

• Manage daily field operations from project startup through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking
• Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance on-site
• Conduct quality control inspections and oversee project workmanship
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve scheduling, budget, and operational challenges
• Foster strong relationships with clients, design teams, inspectors, and trade partners

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Higher Education should have:

• Minimum 5 years of Superintendent or field leadership experience
• Proven commercial construction project experience
• Strong preference for municipal, higher education, civic, institutional, or adaptive reuse project backgrounds
• Demonstrated career stability and tenure with previous employers
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders effectively
• Strong understanding of scheduling, site logistics, safety, and quality control processes
• Experience overseeing projects from ground-up construction and/or significant renovations
• Ability to work locally within the greater Nashville market
