Heavy Haul, LLC, a veteran-owned and operated transportation company, is expanding into Nashville, TN! We are seeking highly experienced, safety-focused, and dependable Heavy Haul Lowboy/RGN Over-the-Road Drivers to join our new satellite branch.

Heavy Haul specializes in transporting oversized and overweight loads, heavy construction equipment, and specialized freight using lowboy, removable gooseneck (RGN), multi-axle, and other specialized trailers. We take pride in delivering safe, reliable, and professional transportation services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport oversized, overweight, and specialized loads using lowboy, RGN, multi-axle, and other heavy-duty trailers.

• Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy construction equipment and machinery.

• Operate specialized trailers and equipment in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

• Properly secure equipment using chains, binders, and other approved cargo securement methods.

• Coordinate permitted and escorted loads, including compliance with route restrictions and permit requirements.

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.

• Plan and execute safe transportation routes for oversized and overweight loads.

• Maintain accurate electronic logs, inspection reports, and required transportation documentation.

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, escort vehicles, and jobsite personnel.

• Maintain a professional attitude, strong safety record, and dependable attendance.

• Represent Heavy Haul, LLC with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license is required.

• Previous heavy haul lowboy and RGN experience is required.

• Experience transporting oversized and overweight loads is required.

• Experience with permitted and escorted loads.

• Experience operating multi-axle and other specialized heavy haul trailers.

• Ability to safely load, secure, and unload heavy construction equipment.

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement requirements, and safe transportation practices.

• Ability to safely maneuver oversized loads through challenging roadways, jobsites, and delivery locations.

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and sound judgment.

• Ability and willingness to travel over the road as required.

• Dependable work ethic and commitment to safety and professionalism.

• Must meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements.

Compensation & Earning Potential

We offer competitive compensation that rewards experience, performance, and productivity.

• OTR Heavy Haul Drivers: Average $125,000–$150,000 Annually

• Local & Regional Heavy Haul Drivers: Average $80,000–$90,000 Annually

• Weekly Pay

• Compensation Structure Includes Hourly Pay, Bonuses, and Commissions

Actual earnings vary based on experience, assigned routes, loads, and performance.
