OverviewLakewood Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a pastor to shepherd our small, loving congregation located in the growing and revitalized community of Donelson—less than ten miles east of Nashville. While we anticipate this role will be part‑time and bi‑vocational, we remain open to how God may lead. We desire a pastor who will help our church family grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ and cast a clear, Spirit‑led vision for connecting with our community through service and love. Pastoral ResponsibilitiesThe pastor will serve as both a spiritual and administrative leader, including:• Shepherding the congregation with compassion and biblical teaching• Providing oversight and guidance to paid church staff• Collaborating with deacons, teachers, and ministry leaders• Leading the church toward effective ministry, discipleship, and community engagement• Helping cast and implement a vision for church growth and spiritual health Job Requirements • Born‑again, baptized believer with a clear personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ• Licensed and ordained minister called to pastoral ministry• Seminary education or a degree in Biblical studies/Christian ministry preferred• Experience in pastoral care and spiritual counseling• Lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1–13; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5–9)• Alignment with Southern Baptist doctrine as outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000• Conservative theological perspective and adherence to the inerrancy of Scripture• Ability to work well with and value all generations—from children to senior adults• Skills in team building and leadership development (Ephesians 4:12 model)• Ability to provide vision and direction for ministry and church growth To Apply: Please send resume, cover letter, references and sample sermons to Lakewood Baptist Church, C/O Pastor Search Committee, 400 Donelson Pike, Nashville TN 37214 or Lakewoodsherri@yahoo.com.
