IT Systems Admin (Information Technology Systems Administrator)Logistix Technologies, Inc.
Logistix Technologies is a small, locally owned Managed Service Provider where every employee matters and every customer matters. We are not a large corporate IT department where technicians disappear into a queue or specialize in one narrow area. Our team works together, takes ownership of problems, and is directly responsible for the level of service our customers receive.
We are looking for an experienced Tier 2 / Tier 3 IT Support Technician who wants to be more than someone who answers the phone and works basic help desk tickets. This position requires someone who can independently troubleshoot technical problems, think through unfamiliar situations, make sound decisions, and take a problem from initial report through final resolution.
Our customers depend on us to keep their businesses running. We take that responsibility seriously. Technical ability is important, but how you treat the customer is just as important as whether you can fix the problem. We want someone who understands that behind every ticket is a person trying to do their job.
Because we are a small company, we also place a high value on what each person brings to the team. Good ideas are not limited to management or senior engineers. We want someone who notices problems, suggests better ways to do things, shares knowledge, helps coworkers, and contributes to making the entire company better.
The right person will be someone who:
Takes ownership of issues instead of looking for the quickest way to pass them to someone else.
Can independently handle a strong range of Tier 2 issues and is capable of working into Tier 3 troubleshooting and engineering.
Cares about providing an exceptional level of service, not simply closing tickets.
Treats customers with patience, respect, and a genuine desire to help.
Understands the responsibility that comes with having administrative access to a customer's network and systems.
Troubleshoots methodically and is willing to dig into logs, configurations, documentation, and unfamiliar technologies to find the actual cause of a problem.
Knows when to continue troubleshooting and when an issue truly needs escalation.
Communicates with customers and coworkers instead of allowing tickets to sit without updates.
Documents their work so the next technician does not have to start over.
Shares knowledge rather than guarding it.
Helps teammates when they are overloaded or stuck.
Accepts help and feedback without ego.
Looks for opportunities to improve our processes, tools, documentation, and customer environments.
Wants their individual contribution to be visible, valued, and important to the success of the company.
This role will work across a wide variety of technologies and customer environments, including Windows workstations and servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, VPNs, remote access, endpoint security, backups, RMM, cloud services, and other business technology.
We do not expect one person to know everything. We do expect them to know how to troubleshoot, how to learn, when to ask for help, and how to take responsibility for getting to an answer.
The Person We Are Looking For
We want someone who takes pride in being the technician customers are relieved to hear from because they know the issue will be handled. Someone our other technicians are glad to have sitting beside them when a difficult problem comes in.
At Logistix, your contribution will not be buried inside a large organization. What you know, what you learn, the ideas you bring, the customers you help, and the way you support the rest of the team directly affect the success of the company.
If you are looking for a highly structured corporate environment where every responsibility is narrowly defined, this may not be the right position.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with a close team, being trusted with responsibility, continually learning, and knowing that the work you do genuinely matters to both the customer and the company, we would like to talk to you.
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and network infrastructure (VLANs, firewalls, switches, etc.)
Document network configurations and changes while implementing security best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize system downtime
Provide remote and occasional onsite support for small and medium-sized business clients
Assist with project-based work including network upgrades, server migrations, and cloud integrations
Contribute to continuous process improvements and help identify opportunities to streamline IT operations
Proven competency in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience)
3–5 years of hands-on systems/network administration experience
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Ability to work from home with a reliable internet connection (mostly remote)
Valid Tennessee Driver’s License with a clean driving record (occasional onsite client visits)
Must pass a criminal background check
