Job Summary
Position Overview:
Under general direction and supervision of the Building & Planning Director, this position works independently to implement the City's development standards, including zoning, subdivision, land development, and other regulations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning, zoning, geography, environmental studies, or another job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- AICP certification preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain post hire as directed.
- Flood Plain Manager Certifications preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain post hire as required or directed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and GIS with the ability to learn other software such as BS&A, Forerunner, etc.
- Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
