About Our Client
The client have a lean finance and accounting team, and are looking for a Controller to oversee all the accounting for the business. The team are looking for a candidate with prior managerial experience to help manage the team as well as oversee all accounting operations for the construction projects. The company are a small family run business from the construction, real estate and property industry.
Job Description
- Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Oversee and track the budgets of all construction projects.
- WIP reporting.
- Cashflow management and reporting.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance their professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Controller should have:
- At least 5 years of experience across finance and accounting
- MUST have prior experience in the construction industry
- Prior experience using the system Viewpoint Spectrum and Excel - highly desirable
- MUST have prior management experience
- Good written an verbal communication skills
What's on Offer
- $150,000 - $180,000 (can be flexible)
