The Oregon Christian Chamber of Commerce is bringing together entrepreneurs, leaders, and business owners who believe their work is a calling, not just a career. We are looking for the person who will put a face to that mission: someone who opens doors, builds trust, and turns conversations into community.

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, energetic, and ambitious professional with a proven track record of sales built through genuine connections and meaningful relationships in the community. You are ambitious, service-led, confident, well-spoken, and you thrive in an innovative, startup work environment that values both faith and results. You are equally comfortable cold-calling a prospect and delivering a talk at a networking event by being authentically yourself. You will consistently add new members, not by using old-school hard closing sales techniques, but by delivering compelling, heartfelt invitations and helping people make decisions to better their business along with their Kingdom impact.

As Membership Director, you are the face of the Oregon Christian Chamber. Every conversation you have is a chance to grow the community. Every relationship you build is a living example of what this chamber stands for.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Grow chamber membership through active prospecting, community presence, and relationship-based sales

• Serve as the primary point of contact and ambassador for the Oregon Christian Chamber in Bend and across Oregon

• Attend, host, and represent the Chamber at member events, community gatherings, and networking opportunities

• Develop and maintain genuine, long-term relationships with current members to support retention and renewals

• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on outreach campaigns and the Director of Administration on member onboarding

• Track your pipeline, report on progress, and consistently hit monthly member acquisition targets

• Represent the chamber's values of faith, integrity, excellence, and service in every interaction

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets

• Experience building membership communities, client bases, or professional networks

• Proven ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and self-motivate

• Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written, and in person

• A genuine relationship-builder who sells through trust, not tactics

• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment where you help shape the culture

• Alignment with Christian values and enthusiasm for the chamber's faith-integrated mission

• Based in or willing to relocate to Bend, Oregon

Compensation & Structure

We believe in rewarding performance generously with a base plus commission. Here's what that looks like:

Base Salary: $2,500/month ($30,000/year)

Commission: Commissions are dependent on the average size of enrollment, the number of enrollments in a month and the number of Donations and Champion enrollments, all of which are controllable by you. Commissions range from 10-15% of first year annual dues.

There is no cap on earnings and no limit to the number of Champion Members or Donors you can secure.

Year-2 Renewal Bonus: 10% of one month's dues on the renewal of any account you personally brought in the prior year. Your members keep paying you.

Your commission is based on the first-year dues of the memberships you sell. Based on 30–60 new memberships per month, estimated earnings are:

Monthly commission: $1,725–$5,175
Total annual compensation: $50,700–$92,100

$635 Average Membership

Monthly commission: $1,905–$5,715
Total annual compensation: $52,860–$98,580

$675 Average Membership

Monthly commission: $2,025–$6,075
Total annual compensation: $54,300–$102,900

$710 Average Membership

Monthly commission: $2,130–$6,390
Total annual compensation: $55,560–$106,680

Champion/Donor Memberships — $10,000+

Earn $1,500+ commission for each Champion/Donor Membership secured.

Annual compensation estimates include the $30,000 base salary plus estimated commissions.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

We are transparent about what success looks like because we want you to succeed. The targets below are ambitious and achievable for the right person. The right team member is motivated not just by money, but by a passion for the mission and the expansion of the Chamber membership for the purpose of transforming the spiritual, cultural and economic climate in Oregon. To fulfill the mission we need both membership increase and revenue.
