You, our Ideal Candidate
The Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for residents to events, appointments, or to special programs. This position is designed to enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner. On occasion, the Driver will be expected to deliver meals to residents in their home.
The Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for residents to events, appointments, or to special programs. This position is designed to enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner. On occasion, the Driver will be expected to deliver meals to residents in their home.
Responsibilities
- Safely transports residents in a timely manner
- Assists residents with ambulating and transferring in and out of vehicles and buildings
- Maintains cleanliness and readiness of facility vehicles; reports any malfunction to appropriate personnel
- Reports any unusual incidents involving a resident to supervisor upon return
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess current valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Eligible to drive under LEC's insurance carrier. (Drivers must supply Motor Vehicle Report before employment and upon request by LEC after hire.)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in transportation, preferably in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel or similar facility
- Position may be PRN or as needed due to scheduling
