Job Summary

About Crossroads

Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who aren’t located near one of our physical sites.

We believe the story of Jesus' redemption is the greatest story ever told, and that's why we embrace creativity, adventure, authenticity, and tenacity to share this story with the world.

Our desire is to model our staff and church community after the church in Revelation, where people of all nations, tribes, and tongues are worshiping and working together. We’re not there yet, but it’s what we’re working toward with every hire and every person who walks through our doors.

Job Summary
The Disguise Integrator supports the development, integration, and reliability of the Disguise ecosystem across Crossroads. This role works closely with the Wonderwall Creative Team, Wonderwall Production Team, and the broader Experience Team. This role serves as the technical owner of the Disguise systems and workflows used to deliver immersive visual content across Crossroads locations.

The ideal candidate has proven experience designing, integrating, and supporting Disguise media server systems in live events, theatre, broadcast, or installations. This is a highly technical role focused on system architecture, standards, R&D, integrations, troubleshooting, and commissioning. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team building scalable systems and workflows that support the future of storytelling across Crossroads.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical owner of the Disguise ecosystem across Crossroads, including Disguise and RenderStream architecture, configuration, standards, and technical workflows.
  • Own and maintain the technical structure of the Oakley Disguise show file and establish consistent project, media management, and system configuration standards.
  • Lead R&D, testing, and implementation of new Disguise software, features, and workflows, including software versions, firmware, licensing, and compatibility testing.
  • Develop and maintain integration standards for Unreal Engine, Notch, tracking, GhostFrame, and other real-time workflows.
  • Configure, test, document, and commission Disguise systems as they are deployed to additional Crossroads sites.
  • Integrate Disguise with lighting, sound, cameras, tracking, and automation systems, including workflows using timecode, OSC, MIDI, Art-Net/sACN, grandMA, Stream Deck, and MultiTransport.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across Disguise hardware, software, networking, RenderStream, and connected systems while providing on-site and remote technical support.
  • Maintain system documentation, file organization, and version control standards using Perforce and NAS systems, ensuring reliability and consistency across Crossroads locations.

Experience/Skills Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience designing, integrating, commissioning, and supporting Disguise systems in live events, theatre, concerts, broadcast, installations, or themed entertainment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Disguise Designer software and hardware, including RenderStream and real-time content workflows.
  • Strong understanding of video playback, LED workflows, system architecture, audio/video signal flow, and production hardware.
  • Strong understanding of networking and production protocols, including IP, Dante, SMPTE timecode, OSC, and Art-Net/sACN.
  • Experience with real-time rendering engines such as Notch, Unreal Engine, and TouchDesigner, including tracking, camera tracking, GhostFrame, and AR/XR workflows.
  • Familiarity with lighting consoles, show control systems, and 3D workflows, including grandMA, Stream Deck, Blender, Cinema 4D, and Maya.
  • Experience with Perforce or similar version control systems and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, network diagrams, and system documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and under pressure.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to walk up to 5 miles while performing duties, including standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Scheduling / Travel Requirements

  • This role generally follows a Monday–Friday schedule during standard business hours, with later evenings regularly required to support asset reviews, rehearsals, and show preparation. The role will also require occasional weekend availability to support weekend experiences and high-impact events at Crossroads. Additional schedule variability should be expected based on production and event needs, with schedule adjustments communicated in advance whenever possible.
  • Travel required as needed.

Crossroads Staff Qualities
