Facilities Manager – Home Office & National Vision Center Support

About the Position

We are seeking a dependable, resourceful, and hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the daily maintenance, safety, and functionality of our Home Office while also supporting facility needs across approximately 100 Vision Center locations nationwide.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, enjoys hands-on work, and can effectively coordinate vendors, repairs, and improvement projects across multiple locations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Home Office Maintenance: Oversee daily facility operations, perform general maintenance and minor repairs, and ensure the property remains safe, clean, organized, and fully functional.
• National Vision Center Support: Partner with employees and leadership across approximately 100 locations to troubleshoot, coordinate, and resolve facility-related concerns.
• Vendor Management: Identify, schedule, and oversee contractors and service providers for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and general building maintenance.
• Preventive Maintenance: Proactively identify facility needs, coordinate routine inspections, and address issues before they become larger problems.
• Project Coordination: Support facility improvements, renovations, equipment installations, and repairs while managing timelines, quality, and costs.
• Budget & Cost Management: Evaluate repair options, obtain competitive pricing, and identify opportunities to reduce facility expenses.
• Safety & Compliance: Help ensure facilities meet applicable safety standards, building requirements, and company expectations.
• Communication & Follow-Through: Track facility requests through completion, provide timely updates, and maintain strong communication with center teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, property operations, or a related field.
• Hands-on knowledge of general building repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently prioritize work.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Experience supporting multiple facilities or healthcare locations is preferred.
• Comfortable performing physical maintenance tasks and responding to occasional urgent facility needs.
