Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate required; Associate degree preferred
Minimum of one year of previous experience in an accounting role
Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit management
Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to read and interpret vendor invoices, purchase orders, credit terms, contracts, and operations manuals
Ability to write clear procedures explaining specific tasks
Solid math skills across whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Experience with cloud-based accounting software systems
Knowledge of credit card processing and electronic payment systems
You'll Achieve:
Payment Accuracy: Consistently hit 98% accuracy in payment posting and account reconciliation, month after month
Timely Processing: Process customer payments within 24 hours of receipt and complete vendor payments without delay
Clean Reconciliations: Complete monthly reconciliations by deadline, every time, with records that hold up to scrutiny
Vendor Trust: Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with vendors through steady, reliable follow-through
Organized Records: Maintain vendor files and AP documentation in a system that's clear, current, and easy to audit
Compliance: Uphold company accounting policies and internal controls in every transaction you touch
Problem Resolution: Follow up on failed payments and discrepancies methodically until records are accurate and issues are closed
1099 & Tax Accuracy: Keep end-of-year 1099 summaries and quarterly estimated tax payments accurate and on schedule
Smooth Month-End Close: Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with dependable, detail-oriented work

Physical Demands
Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods (up to 8 hours daily). Color vision is required for reviewing charts, graphs, and visual presentations. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
