West Oxford Baptist Church seeks a Senior Pastor whose first priority is faithful, Christ-centered biblical preaching and teaching; who provides clear vision and effective spiritual leadership; and who is present, accessible, and engaged with members, staff, and church ministries throughout the week. Position Purpose The Senior Pastor provides spiritual, pastoral, and organizational leadership for West Oxford Baptist Church (WOBC). The Senior Pastor is called to preach and teach the Word of God, shepherd the congregation, equip believers for ministry, lead the church in fulfilling its mission, and work collaboratively within the congregational governance and accountability structure of WOBC. Primary Responsibilities ·         Prepare and deliver biblically sound, Christ-centered preaching and teaching that supports the spiritual growth and mission of the church. ·         Develop, clearly communicate, and help implement a biblically grounded vision for the church in collaboration with the congregation, Deacons, staff, and ministry leaders. ·         Provide pastoral leadership for worship, discipleship, evangelism, missions, prayer, and the overall ministry direction of WOBC. ·         Provide pastoral care through visitation, counseling, prayer, weddings, funerals, hospital care, crisis response, and other appropriate ministry support. ·         Encourage, equip, and develop church members, ministry leaders, and volunteers for meaningful service and leadership. ·         Work cooperatively with church staff, deacons, committees, and ministry leaders to coordinate ministries and advance approved church priorities. ·         Provide leadership and support to church staff while respecting the responsibilities and authority assigned to the Personnel Committee, Deacons, committees, and congregation. ·         Represent WOBC appropriately in the community and encourage the church to engage in evangelism, missions, service, and community outreach.
