Position Summary: PowerWorks is hiring all skill and experience levels for our Electrical Field Operations!  

Essential Job Functions:

• The Electrician is responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial, industrial, and health care settings and works under the supervision and/or direction of a foreman electrician.
  
  
• Foreman and Superintendent Levels will perform supervisory responsibilities in addition to Installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, wiring, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans.
  
  
• Ability to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate to cause of breakdown and take appropriate steps to correct the problem.
  
  
• Continually stay up to date on means and methods of the electrical construction industry

Position Responsibilities:

• Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots basic electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code
• Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision
• Installs conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems
• Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections
• Cleans and maintains job site, tools, and vehicles
• Consistently follows workplace safety procedures
• Participates in toolbox talks, safety audits, and identifies and corrects conditions that effect employee safety
• Immediately identifies, corrects, and/or reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents in a timely manner
• Works as a member of a cohesive team and accepts responsibility and account for his/her actions

• Performs other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrates ability to layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, basic control systems, and feeders
• Analyzes blueprints effectively and utilizes such information on jobsite
• Analyzes upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training needed to complete work in a safe manner
• Consistently completes tasks on time, within budget, accurately, thoroughly, in a safe manner, and under stressful situations
• Demonstrates ability to obtain, organize, and manage materials effectively
• Demonstrates an eagerness and ability to accept increasing responsibility
• Provides technical assistance to other field employees as needed
• Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task, and focus on a goal to achieve a pre-determined result
