Join our HomeWorks team in Northern New Jersey. This per diem opportunity offers $20.00-$30.75 per hour, with rates varying based on assignment details, scheduling needs, and level of support provided. Flexible day, evening, and overnight shifts are available.

About the Division
UMC HomeWorks, the home care division of United Methodist Communities, has supported older adults throughout New Jersey for more than 100 years. Our Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) provide one-on-one assistance to clients across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties, helping individuals remain comfortable and supported in their home environmen

What you'll do

• Assist clients with daily personal care and routine activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Support meal preparation, dining assistance, and light household organization
• Observe client well-being and communicate relevant updates to members of the care team
• Provide reminders related to established wellness and medication routines
• Provide transportation and accompaniment for appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
• Foster positive client relationships through companionship, conversation, and participation in everyday activities

What you'll need

Required:

• Current, active New Jersey CHHA certification
• 18 or older
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow written care instructions and documentation

Preferred:

• ​​​Previous experience providing care or support in a home or community setting

Pay and benefits

• $20.00 to $30.75 per hour, depending on shift and day of week
• Mileage reimbursement for travel between client visits 
• $500 referral bonus for every CHHA you refer who gets hired
