About Our Client

Our client is an established General Contractor with a strong pipeline of multifamily construction projects throughout North Jersey. They are seeking an experienced Superintendent who can take ownership of field operations and successfully lead ground-up multifamily projects from start to finish.

Job Description

Oversee day-to-day field operations on ground-up multifamily construction projects

Manage projects from sitework and foundations through interiors and final closeout

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades on site

Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are met

Conduct daily site walks and monitor construction progress

Ensure all work meets project plans, specifications, and quality standards

Enforce site safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment

Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and engineers

Manage inspections and coordinate with local building officials

Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays

Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate upcoming project needs

Manage punch list activities and drive projects through final completion

The Successful Applicant

A successful North Jersey Multifamily Superintendent should have:

• 10+ years of construction Superintendent experience
• Experience working for a General Contractor
• Ground-up multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience overseeing projects from sitework through closeout
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and building systems
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously
• Strong understanding of project schedules and construction drawings
• Knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to successfully lead day-to-day field operations with limited oversight
