About This Job

Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose between one of two sessions.

Session 1: May 25 - August 13
Session 2: June 14 - September 3

The Product Management Internship offers hands-on experience in supporting the product development lifecycle from concept to launch. Interns will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to learn how products are researched, designed, and delivered in a dynamic environment.

This intern will support the Securities product team across research, documentation, backlog management, and QA, gaining hands-on exposure to the full product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

• Conduct competitive, industry, research
• Summarize findings across product capabilities, UX patterns, and workflows
• Support research related to personas, use cases, and product positioning

Documentation Support (Internal & Customer-Facing)

• Internal: Translate meeting notes and decisions into structured, clear artifacts; update epics, requirements, and user flows; maintain consistency in terminology, product language, and feature definitions

Backlog & Workstream Support

• Assist with backlog organization and upkeep
• Ensure ADO tickets are clear, complete, and aligned to format and structure guidelines
• Maintain alignment between roadmap items, documentation, and ADO artifacts

Customer Feedback Synthesis

• Review and summarize insights from discovery sessions, notes, and feedback channels
• Organize findings into themes such as usability improvements, feature requests, workflow friction etc
• Associate feedback with personas, product areas, and relevant use cases

Data & Usage Awareness

• Review usage signals where available to identify friction points or gaps
• Flag potential opportunities for platform improvements

QA & Feature Validation

• Perform exploratory testing to ensure features behave as expected
• Validate workflows across user roles and scenarios
• Document findings clearly using screenshots or short structured notes

Acceptance Criteria Review

• Confirm user stories meet defined acceptance criteria
• Validate workflows follow expected patterns and terminology
• Ensure features feel consistent with the intended experience before hand-off
