Job Summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Helper to assist with delivering and setting up furniture in customers’ homes. This role involves working alongside a delivery driver to ensure furniture is handled safely, deliveries are completed efficiently, and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting furniture and merchandise.
Help deliver and position furniture in customers’ homes.
Assemble furniture and complete basic setup as needed.
Protect furniture, customer property, and delivery equipment from damage.
Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries.
Follow all safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
Communicate with the delivery driver and team regarding delivery schedules and special instructions.

Qualifications

Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy furniture.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Dependable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
Previous delivery, warehouse, or furniture-handling experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

This position requires frequent lifting, bending, carrying, and standing, as well as working in various weather conditions while assisting with residential deliveries.
