Key Responsibilities

• Teach and manage a full 2nd grade curriculum in accordance with diocesan guidelines

   
• Prepare students for First Communion, a major sacramental milestone in Catholic education

   
• Plan, organize, and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons

   
• Complete assignments, grading, and assessments in a timely manner

   
• Attend staff meetings, conferences, and school activities outside the normal teaching day
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a Christ‑centered school community

   

Required Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic with a strong desire to share the faith with students

   
• Virtus trained (child protection certification required in Catholic schools)

   
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Effective classroom management and ability to maintain a positive learning environment

   
• Ability to work cooperatively within a mission‑driven Catholic school team
