Paint Sales Specialist

Location: Uxbridge, MA
Schedule: Full-time, including rotating Saturdays as needed
Pay: $18.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on previous paint mixing experience

Koopman Lumber is hiring a Paint Sales Specialist for our Uxbridge location. Your primary focus will be helping homeowners, contractors, and professional painters choose the right paints, stains, coatings, and supplies. You’ll also assist with general retail sales and customer service throughout the store as needed.

What You Will Do

• Help customers select paint products and provide guidance on surface preparation, application, and product use.
• Mix, tint, and color-match paint accurately.
• Assist customers with general retail purchases and product questions throughout the store.
• Build customer relationships through product knowledge, helpful recommendations, and dependable service.
• Receive and stock products, assist with inventory counts, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, and follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Requirements

Required

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• An organized, dependable approach, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout an active retail shift.
• Availability to work rotating Saturday half-days as needed.

Preferred

• Previous paint mixing, tinting, and color-matching experience.
• Experience selling paint, coatings, hardware, or home improvement products.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay ranges from $18.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on previous paint mixing experience, with weekly pay.
