Job Description

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope and pricing needs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
• Request, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing to support complete bids.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and pricing risks before bid submission.
• Develop bid proposals that clearly reflect project requirements and assumptions.
• Work with construction team members to confirm pricing, schedules, and project details.
• Maintain estimate files, bid records, and cost information for future use.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Estimator - South Shore - Va & Federal Construction' should have:

• Experience preparing construction cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Experience pricing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
• Ability to review vendor and subcontractor quotes for scope and cost alignment.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying exclusions, assumptions, and bid risks.
• Clear communication skills for working with construction team members, suppliers, and subcontractors.
