Housekeeping Associate

The Housekeeping Associate is a part-time, non-exempt position that will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the parish facilities for Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church-Chackbay.

The Housekeeping Associate reports to the Director of Business Operations and will be expected to work approximately 10 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

● Performs routine cleaning of each parish building weekly.

● Performs annual deep cleaning of each parish building.

● Collects and disposes of garbage around the parish.

● Keeps inventory of all cleaning and janitorial supplies in each building.

● Assists with the setup and clean up of parish events, as needed.

Qualifications to Perform the Job Successfully:

Education and/or Experience:

● General facilities upkeep, housekeeping, and cleaning practices knowledge

Other Skills and Requirements:

● Must be able to successfully complete Safe Environment training.

● Must have a driver's license with a good driving record.

● Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.

● Ability to conduct oneself with a professional attitude and manner.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive situations, documents, and records.

● Basic knowledge and respect for the Catholic Church, her teachings, and her values.

● Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.

● Must be able to communicate clearly by phone, in written form including email, and verbally to staff members and parishioners.

● Must be able to multi-task and set priorities.

● Must be able to regularly walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders, and the like for long periods of time.

● Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
