Job Summary

The sales manager will be responsible for leading the performance and development of the sales team at a profitable fluid system distributor in Louisiana. This role places strong emphasis on people leadership, including coaching, accountability, performance management, and the ongoing development of sales associates, while driving consistent execution across the sales organization.

This role will be helping sales associates grow their capabilities, advance opportunities, and align their efforts with company strategy and sales priorities.

Responsibilities

· Lead and develop the sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets and growth objectives.

· Coach sales associates through regular one-on-one meetings, opportunity reviews, and territory strategy discussions.

· Drive consistent execution of the sales process, including opportunity development, pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and account planning.

· Ensure disciplined use of CRM tools and maintain accurate, visible sales activity and pipeline data.

· Support sales associates in advancing complex opportunities through coaching, strategy development, and cross functional collaboration.

· Partner effectively with Engineering & Services, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and other internal teams to support team selling and customer success.

· Support the development and execution of annual sales plans aligned with company strategy and priority growth initiatives.

· Analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and market opportunities to identify gaps and implement actions to improve results.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex sales opportunites
  • Analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to travel within the state of Louisiana
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a technical field
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and improve team performance
  • Experience working with CRM systems and pipeline management processes
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing sales professionals
  • Leading a sales team7+ years
  • Sales experience in industrial or technical sales5 - 10 years
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of fluid system components and applications
About Us

This large manufacturing company provides critical fluid system products, assemblies, training, and services to customers in a variety of markets including oil & gas, refining, chemical, midstream, power and transportation industries. Though anonymous at this time, candidates who progress to the interview stage will be told who the company is prior to interviewing, so as to better prepare for their interview.

Compensation Structure
  • Base - $120k-$135K

  • Commission - $15k-$20k

  • Bonus - $15k-$20k

  • Car allowance - $600-$800

  • OTE - $150k-190k
