Job Summary
Purpose
The Distribution Clerk assists the Distribution Management Team with daily shipping/receiving operations and procedures in the DC. The Distribution Clerk is responsible for completing and maintaining records of shipments, product orders and other shipping and/or receiving paperwork.
Responsibilities
Verify, input, and maintain records on incoming/outbound shipments from the distribution center
Dispatch daily outbound/inbound trucks
Print invoices for outbound drivers
Release orders to Vocollect system
Provides customer service to internal and external customers on various distribution related items
Support DC management team process customer credits and vendor inquiries
Review out-of-stocks and generate reprocess cases for any of the out-of-stock orders that can be backfilled
Organize, track and file relevant documentation for inbound/outbound shipments
Adhere to company policies, standards, and best practices
Other duties as assigned by a supervisor
About You
High School Diploma
Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Power Point) and other web-based applications
Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills and follow up
Ability to work independently and within a team
Willingness to work required shift schedules and varying days of the week including holidays and/or weekends
Team spirit, self-motivated and initiative to support the needs of a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during a normal workday
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
