Full-Time Floater Field Service Technician

Are you someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, and building strong customer relationships? As a CCS Kiosk Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping our self-service kiosks and engraving machines operating at peak performance across assigned retail locations.
In this hands-on field-based position, you'll combine technical troubleshooting, merchandising, and customer service skills to support some of the industry's leading retail partners. Every day brings a new challenge, making this an excellent opportunity for self-starters who enjoy variety, travel, and making a visible impact.
This is a floater position that will require up to 80% travel via plane or car.
What You'll Do
Technical Service & Maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, merchandising, and product replenishment during store visits.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair kiosks and engraving machines.
Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service calls to ensure equipment remains fully operational.
Complete required software updates, hardware upgrades, and machine installations.
Customer & Store Support
Build and maintain positive relationships with store leadership and retail partners.
Identify opportunities to improve machine performance, sales, and customer experience.
Serve as a trusted resource for store teams regarding kiosk operations.
Field Operations
Plan and manage daily and weekly travel schedules to maximize productivity and service levels.
Complete store surveys, inventory activities, Plan-O-Gram updates, and reporting requirements.
Stay connected by responding to service dispatches and work-related communications in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with a strong driving record.
Reliable vehicle with current automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement provided).
Reliable cell phone (reimbursement provided).
Comfortable traveling daily throughout an assigned territory.
Preferred Experience
Electromechanical repair, maintenance, or technical troubleshooting experience.
Retail merchandising, field service, or customer-facing experience.
Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
Skills for Success
Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities.
Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to represent Hillman professionally and positively in customer locations.
Flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work as business needs require.

This position requires daily travel throughout the assigned market and may involve driving up to 200 miles per day. Work environments vary by retail location and may include exposure to dust, confined spaces, and other typical retail conditions.

Occasionally pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and equipment servicing activities.
