E-commerce Specialist

The E-commerce Specialist is detail-oriented, highly organized, and responsible for preparing website content, e-commerce promotions, and performance tracking. This role blends content preparation, e-commerce operations, analytics, and cross-functional coordination to support marketing initiatives and drive online growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in content management systems, e-commerce platforms, email platforms, and marketing tools such as Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
• Create a SERVE culture environment in all work performed.
• Approach all tasks with a second-mile mindset.
• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
• Assist with preparing and publishing articles, blogs, landing pages, and technical content across all websites in a robust CMS, while ensuring technical accuracy and utilizing best practices for HTML, CSS, and SEO in accordance with internal standards.
• Prepare, schedule, and monitor discounts, deals, and special offers, including creating, testing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of discounts, product pages, and landing pages, as well as preparing and sending emails.
• Coordinate inventory updates to ensure product pages are accurate, update product lists, and process other store updates and intake tasks.
• Utilize tracking codes and support A/B testing initiatives for email campaigns.
• Collect and analyze campaign performance data in Google Analytics, generating performance reports and insights for marketing stakeholders.
• Provide support for marketing ad campaigns.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for e-commerce and website procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualification Requirements

• Must agree with and be able to sign the Answers in Genesis Statement of Faith.
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regularly attend a local Bible-believing church.
• Strong functional understanding of current computer hardware and software systems, with the ability to learn new software programs and systems quickly.
• Proven, well-developed problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with a proven record of working well with others and accepting constructive criticism.
• Strong attention to detail when coordinating tasks, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment with competing demands while remaining flexible in response to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends when necessary.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with project management software and web applications.
• Experience using content management systems (CMS), e-commerce platforms, email platforms, and related website software.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience with search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus.
