Job Description

• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define estimate requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
• Request, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing for bid packages.
• Build project budgets that support clear pricing decisions before construction begins.
• Identify cost differences, scope gaps, and assumptions within estimate submissions.
• Work with construction team members to confirm project scope and estimate details.
• Maintain organized estimate files, pricing records, and bid documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Estimator' should have:

• Experience preparing construction estimates and project budgets.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Ability to calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Experience requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Ability to identify scope gaps, pricing assumptions, and cost differences.
• Clear communication skills for working with construction team members.
