Sales and Support - RetailDouble Dutch Meat Processing (Ulrich Meat Market)

We are looking for a full time team member that is ready to serve the Pella, Iowa community and visitors through their work at Ulrich Meat Market. You would become a familiar face of Ulrich Meat Market as a Sales Floor Associate. You would be assisting customers in their meat market shopping, wrapping meats, helping them find the item that fits their needs or ringing up sales in the cash register. You will learn about the variety of products that we make in house, hickory smoked meats, as well as the various items we bring in, cheeses, Dutch treats and other items. You can be active in learning about the meat processing industry and how Ulrich Meat Market is a part of that. Opportunities to help us create new recipes and items would be available, if you'd so choose.

This position will be full time, five days a week, which does include alternating Saturdays and all Sundays off, as the store is closed.

Responsibilities would include opening/closing duties and serving customers well. Daily duties also include verifying stock levels of products and filling shelves as needed. Review and maintain records of product dates and shelf life. Opportunities to cross train and support in other areas of the business may arise. Responsibilities could lead to inventory management or leadership opportunities.

Experience in the food industry, meat processing or customer service is appreciated but not required. This is a customer service and sales centered position that is great for a motivated and friendly individual. We will teach you what we know and help you grow into your potential with us. This is a physically active role and ability to carry 25#-50# boxes is necessary. Dependability, so that schedules and routines can be built to have a team that works well together. Weekend availability for alternating Saturday shifts is a requirement.
