Field Service Technician - Parts Washer RouteCALUMET CHICAGO
Calumet Chicago Company is hiring a Field Service Technician to service our fleet of Cuda aqueous parts washers at industrial customer locations across Northwest Indiana and the south Chicagoland area.
You'll be the face of our company at some of the largest industrial facilities in the region — U.S. Steel, Cleveland-Cliffs, and other major steel, food processing, and manufacturing facilities across NW Indiana. You'll drive a company-provided Ford F-550 service truck on an established local route — no CDL required — servicing 4–6 customer stops per day and heading home every evening.
We are seeking a self-driven individual who is motivated by personal pride in quality, service, and achievement.
Inspect, service, and troubleshoot parts washer units on-site
Reclaim waste water and ensure optimal parts washer performance
Drive Class B truck on designated route and conduct vehicle inspections
Complete daily maintenance service sheets and customer reclamation manifests
Strong mechanical knowledge, experience, and aptitude
Excellent problem-solving and repair skills
Willing to serve as the customer face of the company
Goal-oriented team player who follows safety procedures
Able to read schematics and follow directions
Can lift and carry up to 75lbs, and the ability to push and pull a service cart
Good communication skills, oral and written
- Professional mechanical experience•1 - 2 years
- High school diploma or GED
- Clean MVR and Driving record
- Contractor experience at Steel Mill
