About Our Client
Our client is an established Chicago-area general contractor with over 50 years of success delivering commercial, healthcare, institutional, and industrial projects throughout the Midwest. Due to sustained growth and a robust backlog, they are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their Oak Brook office.
Job Description
- Lead preconstruction services and estimating functions on large-scale projects
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Develop budgets, value engineering recommendations, and cost studies
- Participate in client meetings and business development initiatives
- Mentor junior estimators and provide oversight throughout the bid process
- Collaborate closely with operations teams during project turnover

The Successful Applicant
- 8+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
- Experience estimating healthcare, commercial, institutional, industrial, or mixed-use projects
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and market pricing
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, On-Screen Takeoff, or equivalent software
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously
- Strong communication and presentation skills
