Job Summary

Customer Support Representative

AmmoSquared | Nampa, Idaho (or Remote, depending on team needs)

Who We Are

AmmoSquared started in a garage in 2015 with a simple idea: save a little ammo at a time, store it safely, always be ready. Today we're building America's Ammunition Reserve — a nationwide, member-backed platform that helps everyday Americans stockpile ammunition automatically, so shortages never catch them off guard again.

We're a small, family-run company, and we like it that way. No corporate boardrooms, no bureaucracy, no superstars — just a team that does the job and does it well. Our members trust us with something that matters to them, and we don't take that lightly.

The Role

Our Inbound Customer Service Rep is often the first human voice or written response a member gets from AmmoSquared. That's a real responsibility. You'll field calls, emails, and chats from members managing their reserve — checking balances, adjusting subscriptions, requesting shipments, troubleshooting account issues, and asking questions about how the platform works. You'll be the steady, reliable presence that makes members feel like they made the right call trusting us with their readiness.

What You'll Do

  • Answer inbound calls, emails, and chat messages promptly and professionally

  • Help members manage subscriptions, calibers, budgets, and shipment requests

  • Troubleshoot account, billing, and order issues, and resolve them the first time whenever possible

  • Explain how AmmoSquared works in plain, honest language — no jargon, no runaround

  • Escalate edge cases to the right team when a situation calls for it, without letting a member fall through the cracks

  • Document interactions accurately so the next person who touches that account has the full picture

  • Spot patterns in member feedback and pass them along — you're on the front line, and what you hear matters

Our Ideal Candidate

  • You're a culture fit. You believe in what we're building and why. Ideally, you're already an AmmoSquared member yourself — you know what it's like to build a reserve, request a shipment, and rely on us to come through

  • You're technology savvy. You pick up new systems and tools quickly and can navigate multiple platforms at once without breaking a sweat

  • You deliver the highest level of customer service. Not "good enough" — the kind of service that makes a member tell a friend about us

What Else We're Looking For

  • You do the right thing, not the easy thing — even when no one's watching and it costs you a few extra minutes

  • You're reliable. You show up, you follow through, and people can count on you

  • You communicate clearly and calmly, especially when a member is frustrated

  • You take ownership of problems instead of passing them off

  • You're comfortable with phones, email, and chat tools

  • Prior customer service experience preferred, but character and work ethic matter more to us than a resume line

  • Familiarity with firearms, ammunition, and the shooting sports is required. You should be comfortable talking calibers, terminology, and basic ammo know-how with members who live this lifestyle

A Note on AI

We use technology to work smarter, and we expect you to as well. But when a member calls or writes in, they get a real person — not a bot, not a script read word-for-word. AI is a tool we use behind the scenes; it doesn't replace the judgment, empathy, and ownership a human brings to a member's problem. That human response is part of what we promise, and part of what you'll be asked to deliver every day.

What You'll Get

  • A team that actually works together — we're small enough that your work is visible and valued

  • A company that means what it says: no games, no shortages, transparency, full stop

  • Room to grow as we grow — we've been small before, and we hire and promote from within

  • The chance to support people who are quietly doing something responsible: taking care of their families and their future

Our Values, Plain and Simple

America. We believe this country and the rights of the people in it are worth defending. Responsibility. No one's coming to save you — personal responsibility starts with the individual, and that goes for us too. Reliability. Members don't need to be experts. They need a system — and a team — they can trust. Transparency. No games, no shortages, no surprises. That's our word.

If that sounds like how you already try to live and work, we'd like to hear from you.
