Project Based Temporary Position
This is a long-term, project-based temporary position anticipated to last approximately three years, depending on the needs and progress of the Student Information System (SIS) project. While this position is associated with the SIS project, the individual hired will not be directly assigned to the project. Instead, this position will provide backfill support for an existing employee whose responsibilities will shift to focus on the SIS project. This arrangement will help maintain ongoing departmental operations while allowing the existing employee to dedicate time and resources to project planning, implementation, system transition, and post-implementation support. The duration of employment may change based on project needs and does not guarantee employment for a specific period.
Digital Experience Operations Coordinator
Help create a clear, accessible, and reliable digital experience for BYU-Idaho students by maintaining the university’s primary website and myBYUI portal. In this role, you will support digital platform operations, coordinate improvements, and help ensure students can access accurate, useful information as the university transitions to Workday Student.
Position Summary
The Digital Experience Operations Coordinator supports the daily operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of BYU-Idaho’s primary digital platforms: Brightspot, the university’s main website content management system (CMS), and Pathify, which powers the myBYUI portal.
Reporting to the Change Management Manager, this position manages website and portal content, coordinates platform requests and projects, supports testing and reporting, and oversees website accessibility and quality assurance activities. The coordinator also helps maintain myBYUI as a clear and dependable resource for students during the Workday Student transition.
What You’ll Do
- Manage website and portal operations: Build and maintain webpages in Brightspot and publish approved content, including updates, links, files, and forms. Support the administration of Pathify, including pages, groups, announcements, tasks, navigation, and other student-facing content.
- Maintain content quality and accessibility: Apply university standards for accessibility, branding, navigation, and publishing. Oversee day-to-day website accessibility activities, complete required training, and coordinate with campus partners responsible for ADA compliance and accessibility.
- Coordinate website audits: Oversee recurring website audits conducted by student employees, including schedules, checklists, training, documentation, and issue tracking. Review findings for content accuracy, quality, broken links, and accessibility concerns. Identify trends, escalate systemic or high-risk issues, and coordinate and document approved corrections.
- Coordinate digital projects and improvements: Gather and document requirements for approved enhancements to Brightspot and Pathify. Prepare tickets, briefs, and supporting documentation for estimates, development, and configuration. Coordinate with Information Technology, vendors, Communications, and campus stakeholders to track progress, dependencies, and completion.
- Support testing and releases: Perform routine quality assurance, verify platform changes, assist with user acceptance testing, and confirm that completed work meets approved requirements. Help prepare release notes, process documentation, and handoff materials.
- Support content planning and analytics: Maintain content calendars and coordinate timely publishing for campaigns, academic deadlines, and student needs. Work with the Analytics team on routine website and portal engagement reports and identify issues that require further review.
- Support the Workday Student transition: Coordinate approved updates to myBYUI hubs, navigation, tasks, and guidance to help students access relevant information throughout the transition.
- Support digital experience initiatives: Use or develop familiarity with HTML, JSON, APIs, content management systems, and related web technologies to assist with routine troubleshooting and coordination. Support training, documentation, launch preparation, and other digital experience activities as assigned.
This position must comply with applicable laws, regulations, institutional policies, and platform requirements, including requirements related to digital accessibility, privacy, student records, copyright, information security, records management, branding, and technology.
