Job Summary: 

The Location General Manager is responsible for being a hands-on leader at their assigned location. The Location GM oversees all aspects of day-to-day operations, including staff management, inventory, safety, and service quality. This role requires a proactive leader who excels in logistics management and has a strong commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Warehouse Operations Management: 

• Oversee all daily activities in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching; ensure that daily operations align with company standards for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness. 

• Collaborate with warehouse staff to gather feedback and develop innovative solutions to operational challenges. 

• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities. 

• Staff Supervision: 

• Lead and manage warehouse supervisors and staff, providing clear direction on roles and responsibilities. 

• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse employees, including team leads and support staff, to meet operational needs and company values. 

• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts while controlling labor costs. 

• Foster a positive workplace culture, encouraging teamwork, accountability, and professional growth; address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly to maintain morale and productivity. 

• Performance Monitoring: 

• Track key performance metrics (KPIs) such as productivity, order accuracy, and delivery times, working to continuously improve performance. 

• Continuously monitor performance metrics to evaluate the success of implemented changes and identify further opportunities for improvement. 

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff. 

• Inventory Control: 

• Ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet demand while minimizing excess stock or shortages. 

• Oversee inventory tracking and audits to maintain accuracy and compliance. 

• Prepare detailed reports on inventory trends, resource needs, and cost efficiencies for the leadership team. 

• Safety and Compliance: 

• Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies, ensuring the warehouse complies with all regulatory standards. 

• Customer Satisfaction: 

• Collaborate with customer service teams to promptly resolve escalated issues and ensure excellent customer experiences. 

• Process Improvement: 

• Identify and execute opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency. 

• Financial Responsibility: 

• Support budget management and cost-control measures, reporting on financial performance and resource needs to the COO. 

Additional 

• May require travel up to 10% of job time. 

• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience 

• Minimum of 8 years experience in logistics, operations, or warehouse management 

• Minimum of five years experience in leadership role 

• OSHA 300 and Forklift certifications required 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer 

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times 

• Corrected vision to normal range; normal hearing and talking is required for verbal communications 

• Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines
