Junior Accountant & BookkeeperX Strategies
We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Junior Accountant & Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. You'll work closely with leadership to ensure our books are clean, our reporting is timely, and our financial processes scale as we grow. This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one.
Maintain accurate books using QuickBooks or similar platform
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts monthly
Manage client invoicing, collections follow-up, and cash flow tracking
Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
Assist in quarterly and annual tax preparation with outside CPA
Track project-level revenue and expenses by client engagement
Process payroll and maintain employee expense records
Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows and controls
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or comparable software)
Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
Solid understanding of GAAP principles and double-entry bookkeeping
Experience managing multiple clients or projects simultaneously
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills — written and verbal
CPA track or EA certification a plus, not required
- Exposure to basic financial modeling or budget forecasting
- Familiarity with project-based billing and retainer structures
- Background supporting capital markets or advisory engagements
- Experience in a media, marketing, or professional services firm
