Help Advance Medicine. Make a Difference in Patient Care. Build a Career in Clinical Research.

Intercoastal Medical Group is seeking dedicated, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our growing Clinical Research Team. We are looking for both experienced Clinical Research Coordinators and individuals who are interested in entering the exciting and evolving field of Clinical Research.

Experience is valuable, but character, work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to learn are just as important.

Clinical Research is meaningful work that requires dedication, organization, accountability, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to participants and the research process. It can be challenging, fast-paced, and unpredictable, but it also offers the opportunity to contribute to medical advancements and make a lasting difference for the future of patient care.

We believe the technical skills of Clinical Research can be taught. What cannot be taught as easily is the desire to do things the right way, the determination to overcome challenges, the ability to work collaboratively, and the personal accountability needed to be successful.

Whether you are an experienced coordinator ready to take the next step in your career or someone looking for an opportunity to learn and grow in clinical research, we encourage you to apply.

About the Position

The Clinical Research Coordinator supports and coordinates assigned clinical trials, working closely with physicians, investigators, healthcare professionals, sponsors, and research participants. Responsibilities and independence will vary based on experience and demonstrated competency.

For experienced coordinators, this position offers the opportunity to manage clinical trials throughout their lifecycle.

For individuals entering the field, this position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary to become a successful Clinical Research Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and screen potential research participants and assist with determining study eligibility.
  • Support the informed consent process in accordance with study requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Schedule and conduct study visits, assessments, and protocol-required procedures.
  • Collect, process, and ship laboratory specimens and assist with investigational medication accountability.
  • Maintain accurate study documentation and enter data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems & respond to sponsor queries.
  • Recognize and report adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs) according to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for individuals who understand that successful Clinical Research takes more than technical knowledge. It takes commitment, consistency, integrity, and a willingness to put in the effort to get things right.

The qualities that matter most to us include:

  • Dependability: You show up, follow through, take ownership of your responsibilities, and can be counted on by your team.
  • Integrity: You are honest, trustworthy, and committed to doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
  • Strong Work Ethic: You are willing to put in the time and effort required to learn, grow, and get the job done.
  • Resilience: You can handle challenges, adapt when plans change, accept constructive feedback, and maintain a positive attitude when things become difficult.
  • Attention to Detail: You understand that accuracy matters. Small details can have significant implications for participant safety, study integrity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Initiative: You are proactive, ask questions, seek solutions, and take responsibility for your work rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Teamwork: You communicate effectively, support your coworkers, and understand that the success of the research team depends on everyone doing their part.
  • Compassion: You recognize that research participants are patients first and deserve respect, empathy, and excellent care.

Qualifications & Experience

We welcome applicants with varying levels of education and experience.

  • Previous Clinical Research experience is preferred but not required for the entry-level opportunity.
  • Healthcare, nursing, medical office, laboratory, patient care, or other relevant experience is beneficial.
  • RN or other current medical license is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of GCP, clinical research protocols, HIPAA, and medical terminology is beneficial. Training will be provided as appropriate.

  • Strong organizational, communication, computer, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

We value team members who are eager to learn, take pride in their work, accept accountability, and continuously strive to improve.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in the research office, with occasional travel to nearby medical offices and hospital locations based on investigator and study needs. The position involves frequent computer use and intermittent walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
