Residential Electrical Service Technician

At Frank Gay Services, we’re looking for experienced Residential Electrical Service Technicians who know how to do more than complete a repair.

Our electricians diagnose problems, educate customers, build solutions, present options, and complete high-quality electrical work.

You will run your own service vehicle and take ownership of the customer experience from the time you arrive until the job is complete.

If you’re confident in your electrical knowledge, professional in a customer’s home, and able to explain your recommendations clearly, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Electrical Service Technician, you will:

• Run residential electrical service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical problems
• Diagnose the cause of electrical issues
• Inspect systems and identify safety or service concerns
• Explain your findings to homeowners
• Make technical information easy to understand
• Build repair and upgrade options
• Present estimates clearly
• Answer questions and help customers understand their choices
• Complete approved electrical work
• Follow safety and code requirements
• Keep customers informed throughout the job
• Protect the customer’s home
• Maintain a clean work area and professional appearance
• Take care of your company vehicle and equipment

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Have residential electrical service experience
• Are confident troubleshooting electrical systems
• Know how to diagnose instead of simply replace parts
• Can explain electrical problems to someone who isn’t an electrician
• Are comfortable discussing repair and upgrade costs
• Can present more than one solution when appropriate
• Communicate with confidence without being pushy
• Believe recommendations should be based on the customer’s needs
• Take pride in safe, clean work
• Work well independently
• Take ownership of your results
• Want to continue growing in your career

Sales experience is a plus.

We value technicians who understand that earning a customer’s trust comes before earning the job.

How Our Pay Works

This position uses a hybrid performance pay structure.

Each week, you receive either:

Your base pay

OR

Your performance-based pay

Whichever is higher.

The structure provides a base while giving skilled, productive technicians the ability to increase their earnings through strong performance.

You’ll do well here if you’re confident in your ability, customer service, communication, and results.
