Production & Fulfillment AssociateCape Candle
We're seeking dedicated Production & Fulfillment Associates to join our team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with an interest in quality craftsmanship and a passion for being part of the process that brings our candles from creation to customers' homes. You'll work directly with the production manager, making our signature products, including Real Bayberry Wax Candles, Scented Wax Vessels, and other candles.
Candle Production Support
Assist with hand-pouring candles, maintaining our high standards for scent throw and quality
Support hand-dipping taper candle production
Help prepare wax, wicks, and materials for production runs
Maintain a clean and organized production workspace
Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures
Learn and apply Cape Candle's specific production techniques and standards
General Production & Boxing
Package finished candles into retail boxes and gift sets
Prepare products for wholesale and retail distribution
Assist with inventory management and organization
Help maintain production equipment and workspace cleanliness
Support seasonal production increases and special collections
Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
Carefully pack and ship customer orders with attention to detail and brand presentation
Ensure all orders are packaged securely and beautifully, reflecting Cape Candle's premium quality
Process and organize shipments efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Handle packaging materials and maintain organized shipping areas
Coordinate with the customer service team on order status and special requests

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Preferred Experience (Not Required):
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or fulfillment environments
Background in artisan crafts, candle making, or handmade products
Experience with shipping and packaging processes
Basic computer skills for order processing systems

This position is primarily based in our production facility where you'll work alongside our team of makers and artisans. The role involves standing, lifting, and working with various materials and equipment in a clean, organized workshop setting. Some seasonal fluctuations in workload should be expected, particularly during our busy fall and holiday seasons.
Part-time positions available with the opportunity to become full-time
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Part-time: 15-30 hours per week, flexible scheduling
Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts during peak seasons
