Job Summary

Five Rivers, an Akima company, it is looking for a Material Coordinator who will provide user support for the Operating Materials and Supply (OM&S) and General Equipment (GE) programs at NSWC PCD in the areas of inventory, quality assurance, research, documentation, reporting and analysis. Performance of this support will require the Contractor to access and apply a strong working knowledge of all OM&S functions within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system. This support requires skill in the latest Navy-used version (currently 2016) of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to communicate orally and in writing with personnel across NSWC PCD.

Responsibilities

The Contractor shall provide support to include, but not limited to:

  • Archive official records as needed using the guidance of SECNAV M-5210.1 CH-1, using the Navy’s prescribed records management system.

  • Provide support in the Customer Acquisition Group by creating Unique Material Masters and extensions. Prepare and create Requirement forms based on information provided by the customer. Provide support in the researching and identification of OM&S and General equipment with customers while utilizing mandatory sources with One Touch and Haystack.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a government background check, including state and federal investigation, in order to obtain access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

  • HS degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Navy standard version 2016.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written formats with personnel at all levels.

  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for management review.

  • Familiarity with Navy OM&S processes, training development, and user support.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support process improvement efforts.

  • Experience performing Quality Assurance functions related to Procurement Requests and supporting documentation.

  • Knowledge of Navy records management requirements and SECNAV M‑5210.1 CH‑1 a plus

  • Ability to research and resolve issues related to frustrated material and material identification.

  • Experience supporting acquisition-related tasks, including creation of Material Masters and Requirement forms.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi‑disciplinary environment.

  • Prefer strong working knowledge of OM&S functions within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system.
