What You'll Do

As a Respite Direct Service Professional (DSP), you'll provide care, support, encouragement, and engagement to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, in our centers, and throughout the community.

• Supporting participants with daily living activities such as feeding, dressing, toileting, and personal care
• Creating fun, meaningful, and engaging activities based on individual needs and interests
• Encouraging independence, social interaction, and skill development
• Assisting with recreational outings, community activities, and field trips
• Ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive environment
• Building strong relationships with participants and their families
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the Respite team
• Helping individuals enjoy fulfilling experiences while giving families valuable support and peace of mind

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Some college coursework preferred
• At least 1 year of experience providing direct care or supporting neurodiverse individuals
• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
