Unico Building Supply of Florida, Inc. is seeking an experienced Door Production Lead to join our growing Sanford operation.

This is a hands-on working lead position for someone who knows door production, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can help keep a production team organized and productive.

You will work directly alongside the team building, machining, and assembling interior and exterior door units while helping coordinate daily priorities, maintain quality standards, and keep orders moving on schedule.

This is not a desk-only supervisory role. We are looking for someone who leads by example and is comfortable stepping into the work every day.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build, machine, and assemble interior and exterior door units

• Assemble prehung doors, including jamb preparation, hinge installation, and hardware preparation

• Operate saws, routers, door machinery, and other production equipment

• Perform accurate measurements, cuts, and machining based on production orders

• Build custom and special-order door units

• Help coordinate daily production assignments and priorities

• Train and support employees on proper assembly techniques and equipment use

• Monitor production progress and address issues that could delay orders

• Inspect completed door units for correct sizing, handing, machining, and assembly

• Identify production errors and help reduce rework and material waste

• Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, and production concerns to management

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment

What We're Looking For

Required

• Experience in door manufacturing, door assembly, millwork, carpentry, or a related production environment

• Hands-on experience using woodworking tools and production equipment

• Ability to read measurements, production orders, and door specifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to perform hands-on production work throughout the day

• Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently while helping guide and support other production employees

Preferred

• 2+ years of door manufacturing or millwork production experience

• Experience building prehung interior and exterior doors

• Knowledge of hinge routing, lock boring, jamb assembly, and door machining

• Previous experience as a production lead or senior shop employee

• Familiarity with residential production-builder door packages

• Experience operating automated or semi-automated door machinery
