We offer programs in several areas: Humanities, Political Studies, Constitutional Studies, and War amp; Security Studies.About the Role The Hertog Foundation is seeking a Program Manager to help the Foundation manage its current ventures and expand its work in educating young leaders in the areas of American politics, constitutional law, and public policy.The Foundation offers an intellectually stimulating environment in which to work, with the opportunity to meet a cohort of talented young people and to learn from prominent men and women in public life. The Program Manager will be based in our Washington, DC office and will work across Hertog’s summer residential programs. Primary ResponsibilitiesLogistical Coordination – Oversee the daily management and functioning of the Foundation’s six-week Political Studies Program and two-week Constitutional Studies Program.With Hertog leadership, plan and execute Hertog fellowship programs and courses, to include arranging facilities rental and food service, preparing course materials, and serving as a liaison to fellows and faculty.Coordinate travel, lodging, and special needs of program instructors and guest speakers.Help supervise temporary staff, providing management expectations and guidance.Ensure smooth operation of Hertog DC office and provide general administrative support to the Executive Director.Build relationships with fellows and provide intellectual and practical mentorship.Data Management – Maintain databases related to Foundation programming and recruitment.Maintain files and databases pertaining to fellows, alumni, nominators, and other recruitment contacts.Maintain budgets for Foundation programs and general overhead expenditures, and coordinate with NYC office on financial reporting.Maintain the Foundation alumni directory and assist with alumni relations.Recruitment amp; Promotions – Work closely with Hertog leadership on application recruitment and promotions strategies.Assist with daily maintenance of website and social media.Track nominations and applications, and assist in developing a review of each program year measured against goals and strategies.Requirements0+ years of experienceExcellent organizational skills and attention to logistical detailsAbility to coordinate, administer, and execute several programs, in different stages of development, simultaneouslyWillingness to work irregular hours as program/course offerings requireFamiliarity with and commitment to the educational goals of the Hertog FoundationFamiliarity with WordPress and AirTable a plusAbility and willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment purposes (approximate travel: 5%)Bachelor’s degree preferred but not requiredCompensation and BenefitsThe target annual salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000, depending on skills and experience.
