Job Summary
The Pennsylvania Small Enterprise Foundation exists to provide professional, technical, empirically-based advocacy for small business owners through research and administrative advocacy at the state and local level. We are a resource for small businesses and small business advocates such as chamber organizations, trade associations, and other nonprofits. We produce novel research and file public comments in response to regulations, often in partnership with other advocacy groups. The letters we produce are typically focused on the economic impact of regulation.We are seeking a highly motivated young professional who is seeking to grow their professional network, learn more about the world of public policy, and help small businesses thrive in Pennsylvania. This 12 month paid fellowship will be focused on regulatory reform, and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing several research products on regulatory reform topics specific to Pennsylvania. The fellowship will also include opportunities to assist with media outreach and events. This position is open to both recent graduates and undergraduates with relevant coursework. This position is part time with flexible hours. Responsibilities•Assist with whitepaper and comment letters focused on regulatory reform•Conduct economic research to support whitepaper development and comment letters•Gather data on Pennsylvania’s economy and small businesses•Examine regulations in order to estimate their economic impact•Assist with events and media outreach for the foundationQualifications•Strong communication, research, and writing skills•Interest in politics and state government•Comfortable with meeting new people and discussing the Foundation's work•Ability to work remotelyTo apply, please submit a resume and cover letter through Conservative Jobs.
