Post Rehab is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become part of the rehabilitation team at Civita Care Center at Newington. Work closely with licensed Physical Therapists while providing hands-on treatment that supports residents in building strength, improving movement, and achieving their rehabilitation goals.
What You'll Do
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, and functional mobility
- Carry out established treatment plans based on individual resident needs and goals
- Observe resident response to therapy and communicate progress to the supervising PT
- Reinforce exercises and safe mobility techniques with residents and caregivers
- Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with therapy, nursing, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications
- Active Connecticut PTA license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative care team
- Skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate PTAs are encouraged to apply
