Senior Software Engineer — EMNS PlatformHQE Systems
Job Summary
Build and scale the SMART Electronic Mass Notification System (EMNS) — the software that fires outdoor warning sirens, indoor alerts, and multi-channel notifications the moment seconds matter. You'll own life-safety-critical paths across a real-time Node.js/React stack with mapping, device telemetry, and military-grade encryption.
What you'll do
• Design fault-tolerant alert-dispatch services where "eventually" is not an option.
• Build the operator consoles emergency managers rely on under pressure.
• Integrate siren / High-Powered Speaker Array hardware and standards like IPAWS/CAP.
• Own reliability, observability, and testing for mission-critical flows.
What we're looking for
• 5+ years full-stack (Node.js + a modern JS framework) shipping production systems.
• Real-time / event-driven architecture and a genuine reliability mindset.
• Bonus: GIS/mapping, WebSockets, or government / defense software experience.
• U.S. person; ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance is a plus.
